Special, fresh herbs are chosen and prepared for infusion

Every herb carries a multitude of properties and nutrients. However, specific concerns require targeted solutions. Precisely chosen, holistically restorative herbs are selected based on the concern. These herbs are carefully sourced for their high quality and freshness, then prepared for infusion through processes like sun-drying, fluffing, and more. These methods help preserve their nutritional value while preventing any risk of bacterial growth.

icon

Infused for over 10 hrs in cold pressed oils

Prepared, nutrient-rich herbs are then slowly infused for hours and hours in cold-pressed oils. This meticulous process goes beyond mere extraction, enhancing the potency of the actives and boosting their bioavailability. As the molecules dissolve and disperse more efficiently in oil, they penetrate deeper into the roots and are more readily absorbed by the cells.

icon

Strict procedural controls to preserve nutrients

During the long hours of infusion, various procedural controls are implemented to prevent nutrient loss. High temperatures, excessive heat, and humidity can disrupt the extraction process, leading to nutrient degradation. Therefore, strict measures are taken to maintain optimal conditions. Additionally, other safeguards are in place to prevent microbial growth and preserve the integrity of nutrients throughout the oil's shelf life - especially since these oils are packed without any preservatives.

icon

Floating herbs are added for more and more nutrition

Nutrition is the key to dream hair. While the oil becomes rich in nutrients after the long infusion process, additional herbs are still layered in. These are carefully chosen for their oil-soluble nutrients, which are gradually released over time - enhancing the potency of the oil even further.

Made for different seasons and concerns.

Not all seasons are the same. And not all concerns call for the same kind of nutritional revival. That’s why these oils are carefully formulated for different seasons - to counter the unique effects of temperature, humidity, and heat on the scalp and hair. For specific concerns, each formulation is thoughtfully crafted to deliver holistic nutrition that supports a balanced scalp biome, revives hair follicles, and promotes overall hair health.

The Science Behind Follicular Ageing & Greying

Hair Ageing Begins at the Cellular Level

Hair ageing is not just external - it starts deep within the follicle, especially in two key regions - The hair matrix, where new hair cells are formed and the bulge area, home to follicular stem cells and melanocyte stem cells (which produce pigment). Over time, oxidative stress, DNA damage, and reduced stem cell renewal begin to impair both hair structure and colour, setting the stage for visible signs of ageing: thinning, brittleness, and greying.

icon

Oxidative Stress: The Core Driver of Greying and Follicle Ageing

Reactive oxygen species (ROS), generated both internally (mitochondrial activity, inflammation) and externally (UV exposure, pollution), are central to hair ageing. In melanocytes (the pigment-producing cells), ROS damage mitochondria and DNA, disrupting melanin synthesis. Enzymes like tyrosinase, essential for producing eumelanin and pheomelanin, become less active or dysfunctional under oxidative stress. This leads to melanocyte apoptosis (cell death), and the eventual depletion of pigment - resulting in grey or white strands. In hair matrix keratinocytes, oxidative stress also slows cell proliferation, resulting in thinner hair shafts and a slower growth rate.

icon

Melanocyte Stem Cell Exhaustion Turning Hair Grey

Hair gets its color from melanin, transferred from melanocytes to keratinocytes during hair formation. But melanocytes rely on a constant supply of melanocyte stem cells from the follicular bulge. With age these stem cells lose their regenerative capacity., some migrate abnormally or differentiate prematurely and others are lost entirely due to epigenetic changes or inflammation. Once depleted, melanocytes are no longer replenished, leading to permanent greying. This process is accelerated by chronic stress, inflammation, smoking, or nutritional deficiencies (especially copper, vitamin B12, and folate).

icon

Declining Hair Structure: Ageing Alters Hair Fibre Quality

Ageing also affects the quality and composition of the hair fibre itself. Reduced production of keratin and lipids makes hair coarser, more porous, and prone to breakage. Fewer disulfide bonds (which maintain hair’s strength and elasticity) develop, weakening the hair shaft. Sebum production from sebaceous glands decreases, reducing natural lubrication and shine. The cumulative result: duller, drier, thinner hair with reduced volume and resilience.

icon

Hormones and Hair Cell Ageing: The DHT Connection

Age-related hormonal shifts, especially involving androgens like DHT (dihydrotestosterone), can trigger follicular miniaturization, reducing the diameter and length of hair strands, shorten the anagen (growth) phase and inhibit stem cell activation, further limiting hair regeneration. This process—seen in both men and women—can overlap with greying, amplifying visible signs of ageing on the scalp.
