Controls Excess Oil & Mattifies Skin with Sebum-Regulating Phytoactives

Neem, ajwain and marigold deliver potent terpenes and flavonoids that help regulate sebum and reduce the lipid oxidation that clogs pores. Bentonite and besan absorb excess oils without stripping, leaving skin fresh, balanced and matte for longer.

icon

Prevents Acne Flare-Ups by Neutralising Bacteria & Inflammation with Antimicrobial Alkaloids

Tea tree, neem, ajwain and marigold provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial alkaloids that reduce bacterial load and calm inflammatory cascades. This stops new pimples from forming, reduces swelling, and controls the redness–pus cycle that leads to repeated breakouts.

icon

Clears Blackheads & Clogged Pores by Dissolving Debris with AHAs, Enzymes & Deep-Purifying Clays

The lactic acid in yogurt and milk gently dissolves the keratin bonds, while honey enzymes soften buildup. Bentonite clay then vacuums out impurities from deep within pores. The result: visibly cleaner pores, reduced congestion and fewer blackheads.

icon

Speeds Skin Recovery & Reduces Marks by Strengthening Barrier with Lipids & Anti-Inflammatory Actives

Sesame oil lipids, milk fats and honey strengthen the moisture–lipid matrix, supporting healthy repair. Mulethi, vetiver and marigold reduce oxidative stress and soothe post-inflammatory pigmentation signals. Skin heals faster, looks clearer, calmer and more even-toned.

Creates a Micro-Climate for Skin Recovery

As the lepa sets, it forms a soft barrier that traps warmth and moisture, gently boosting blood flow and lymphatic drainage. This warm, moist micro-climate mimics the skin’s natural healing state, speeding up detox and preparing skin to absorb nutrients better.

icon

Barrier Lipid Softening and Follicular Access

Occlusion softens the skin’s barrier lipids, making it more permeable without damaging it. This allows deeper delivery of essential nutrients like phytoactives, fatty acids, and lacto-compounds to skin cells.

icon

Capillary Wake-Up: Enhanced Nutrient Exchange

The warmth boosts microcirculation, waking up capillaries for better oxygen and nutrient delivery. This energises skin cells, supports collagen production, and flushes out toxins—revitalising skin from within.

icon

Dermal Feeding: Absorption of Bioactive Molecules

With the skin more receptive, it absorbs vitamins, enzymes, and herbal actives more efficiently. These nutrients target cell renewal, inflammation, pigmentation, and barrier repair for visibly healthier skin.

icon

pH Reset and Microbiome Rebalance

As the lepa dries, it helps restore the skin’s natural pH and seals in actives. Ferments and enzymes support good bacteria, reduce puffiness, and calm hidden inflammation that dulls the skin.

icon

Post-Pack Rebound: The Glow Window

After removal, skin looks smoother, circulation stays high, and it’s primed for hydration. With cell activity boosted and the barrier reset, skin reflects light better—revealing a radiant glow.

icon

Sebum Overproduction

Androgen hormones stimulate sebaceous glands to produce excess oil, which mixes with dead skin cells and clogs pores, setting the perfect stage for acne. Regulating oil production with ingredients like neem, tea tree, or mulethi helps reduce pore congestion and the likelihood of breakouts.

icon

Follicular Hyperkeratinization

In acne-prone skin, keratinocytes (skin cells) don’t shed properly and accumulate within pores, forming microcomedones. This buildup traps sebum, leading to non-inflammatory (whiteheads/blackheads) and inflammatory acne. Daily gentle exfoliation with AHAs or fruit enzymes can prevent blockages and maintain healthy skin turnover.

icon

Bacterial Overgrowth (C. acnes)

The anaerobic bacteria thrive in clogged, oil-filled follicles, releasing inflammatory mediators that trigger swelling, redness, and pus-filled pimples. Using antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents like tea tree oil, neem oil can inhibit bacterial growth and reduce inflammation.

icon

Inflammatory Response

Once the follicle wall breaks due to pressure or an immune response, the surrounding skin tissue becomes inflamed. This inflammation intensifies redness, swelling, and pain. Calming ingredients like aloe vera help soothe irritation and speed healing.

icon

Hormonal, Diet & Lifestyle Change

Hormonal fluctuations - from menstrual cycles, PCOS, stress, or puberty - can spike androgen levels, leading to excess sebum and cystic breakouts. At the same time, dietary and lifestyle factors like high-glycemic foods, dairy, and inflammation-inducing habits can further drive oil production and acne. Supporting hormonal balance with adaptogens like ashwagandha and adopting a low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory diet rich in antioxidants, omega-3s, and zinc can help manage acne at its root.

icon

Barrier Dysfunction & Overcleansing

Stripping the skin of its natural oils through harsh cleansers or overwashing can impair the lipid barrier, causing rebound oil production and sensitivity. Using a mild, pH-balanced cleanser and restoring moisture with non-comedogenic hydrators like aloe vera helps preserve barrier health and prevent acne cycles.
